I produced the key written corporate communications and publications for Anglian Water Services, including the Annual Integrated Report, which was shortlisted for Best Annual Report in the CorpComms Awards for two years running under my stewardship. I was also responsible for editing the staff newspaper and for ensuring consistency and quality in the company’s written communications.

Working to promote the RSPB's conservation and policy work to national and international media. Particular areas of work included publicising the work of the charity's wildlife crime officers, its large scale habitat creation projects and policy work on water and agriculture. I also worked to place high profile features in key publications.

Part of a small, highly professional team, reporting on and selling in a variety of stories to the national press. Fast, accurate research, editing and copy writing was needed, alongside the ability to spot a story and re-angle it for different audiences. Lots of solid, nuts and bolts journalism, including court reporting, door knocking and contact building. Also frequently worked as a reporter for Anglia TV, providing weekend, sickness and maternity cover.

Covered a number of briefs from general reporting through to crime, where I brought in numerous front page exclusives. I also covered the Soham murder trial at the Old Bailey.
