Led initiative to optimize commission plans for 300-member sales organization comprising 85%+ of personnel. Streamlined new hire onboarding process by leveraging capabilities of Paylocity payroll system to automate the data collection and benefits enrollment process; hired 25 new employees. Revamped travel and expense policy and streamlined expense tracking, introducing cost controls. Automated accounts payable process, reducing bill processing time 50% via transition to Bill.com; aligned organization/reporting authorities with payroll.

Promoted to oversee finance functions (financial modeling, cash flow analysis, budget development) during a period of expansion as company entered clinical trials, pursued FDA approval, and targeted acquisition. Tapped to concurrently manage all HR functions (staffing, regulatory compliance, reporting, payroll, benefits) and assume controller responsibilities; co-managed a staff of five with CFO. Partnered with founder, private equity/venture capital investors, and senior management to raise $160M+ in debt/equity and achieve sale of company to St. Jude Medical for $450M+ in 2014. Supported CFO in preparing for IPO anticipated in 2007 (finalized S-1 IPO, prepared for public entity reporting requirements, and developed functional budgets and forecast/cash flow financial statements), implemented monthly/annual reporting for investor/board requirements and variance analyses. Integral in growing pre-acquisition company revenue to $25M+ annually, delivering leadership in sales force deployment, contract management, billing, and incentive plan development during pilot product market testing. Partnered with CFO to steer sales process and position the company for sale; worked with legal teams from both companies to structure/refine the acquisition agreement. Managed $30M+ in financial/contract requirements and staffing for clinical trials with 60+ U.S./European sites. Fueled operational expansion/clinical trial phase by hiring ~50 new employees, and led subsequent RIF following initial failure to secure full FDA approval in 2012.
