Reporting to the VP of Operations of AirBorn, Inc. Manage operations, supply chain, engineering, maintenance, quality, finance and inside sales departments as well as driving continuous improvement efforts.• Create detailed business and capital plans annually with aligned and cascading objectives.• Reversed sales and profitability decline during an economic downturn and customer realignment through rigorous cost management, new customer wins, improved management of and relationship with the AirBorn sales group, development of a new quoting model and overall business process improvements. Sales growth now at >11% YoY with corresponding increases in gross margin and EBIT/EBITDA.• Converted the then existing business model of high volume / low mix, to a low volume / high mix model without additions to the direct or indirect labour force. A necessary and significant shift to help secure and grow the business.• Implemented a lean six sigma program to develop a culture of continuous improvement and critical thinking. These have resulted in annual savings of >$100K and a reduction of scrap levels by >40%.• Led necessary changes to integrate and align the flex division with AirBorn, Inc. culturally, strategically and in overall business systems. • Designed, developed and implemented HR, safety, IT, quality and production policies, procedures and systems to ensure operational efficiencies and low employee turnover. All geared to improving customer service.
