We have several clients who have experienced a 70% or better success rate getting their construction drawings through the permitting stage the first time, and with no comments. This results in on-time starts.Another benefit to our quality control program is fewer change orders. John’s 10-year electrical contractor experience has broadened his on-the-job practical know-how, able to solve just about any and all field problems. An example: Towards the end of one construction project, the fire department presented us with a request that they wanted the Main Service Disconnect for the building on the exterior. This problem had the potential of costing the client approximately $100,000 and a delayed store opening. By adding a shunt trip device to the 1200 amp main breaker and providing an emergency push button by the rear exterior door, we were able to satisfy the Fire Marshall and keep the project on-time for approximately $200. This was a remarkable win-win for the client, Fire Marshall and Larson Binkley. Naturally we would prefer to discover and resolve these issues in the design phase. However, when they do occur (and they will) in the construction phase, we have the knowledge and experience to handle them in the most cost effective way.
