I was called to the Bar in 2006 and immediately commenced practice, spending time in Chambers in London and also in Jersey. I spent six years in practice, predominantly in Chancery, Commercial and Civil Litigation, Insolvency and Housing matters, appearing in both the County and High Courts on numerous occasions. I then spent five years working in Professional Services, initially with Deloitte LLP and latterly PwC LLP. During this time, I attained the ACA qualification and was admitted as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant, a role in which I am still registered. My practice during this time focused on Corporate and Personal Taxation and later Risk Assurance and Internal Audit. This encompassed a variety of industry sectors including healthcare, insurance, housing, policing, automotive and banking. This combination of significant legal and commercial experience affords the rare ability to provide commercially realistic, practical and understandable advice, while being mindful of the legalities surrounding these.Since returning to the Bar with Chambers in April 2018, I have appeared in a number of Commercial, Civil and Family (particularly Financial Remedy) matters, Immigration and Employment tribunals, and Clinical Negligence cases. I have also received instructions in Crown Court matters including extensive involvement in applications under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
