Raf Cottesmore Surface Finish Facility

Responsible the overall leadership and management of all personnel within the Maintenance and Surface Finish Facility, ensuring that all work undertaken is authorised and ensure correct turn round times to avoid liquidated damage penalties. Ensuring all Health & Safety aspects of the trade are strictly adhered to, COSHH and Risk Assessments are raised and reviewed and all applicable Health, Safety & Environmental procedures are followed and controls are in place. Competent Facility Manager, leading a team of up to 30 personnel in the maintenance of all variants of Royal Air Force Aircraft Ground Support Equipment, Specialist Airfield vehicles, Logistics vehicles (HGV), Coaches and Heavy Lifting Haulage Transport.

United Kingdom And Overseas

Responsible for a team of up to 30 people to restore the Surface Finish of Tornado and Harrier aircraft, maintenance of associated ground support equipment and logistical vehicles. Facility maintenance including Dry Media and Plastic Media Blasting bays, Aircraft, Vehicle and Component Spray Bays at various RAF stations in the UK and Overseas. Compiling annual and interim staff appraisal reports, carry out advanced analysis and fault diagnosis to determine corrective action to any trade related problems, then initiate defect reporting procedures relating to faulty design, materials or workmanship.
