My approach to leadership and career development uses my diverse background, combining experience in community based leadership development, nonprofit management, production agriculture, and retail sales, creating a philosophy that is based on real-world experience and delivering real-world solutions. That diverse background also gives me the ability to work effectively with people from all levels of an organization, whether they are front-line staff, volunteers, senior executives or elected officials. The work I have done in designing and leading leadership development workshops has reinforced my belief that in addition to delivering a strong curriculum that meets the participants learning needs, you also need to provide them with the confidence and enthusiasm to want to apply what they have learned. Helping them to see their own leadership potential is as important as helping them fill their leadership “tool box”.My philosophy on meeting facilitation is simple; get the right people in the room, get them talking by asking the right questions and watch great things happen. Using that approach I have worked with numerous organizations, helping them create clear visions and goals and then designing the strategic plans to aid them in achieving those goals.Most importantly, just as each person has their own learning style, each organization has its own unique development needs.
