I’m an electrical engineer with over a decade of experience in a variety of industries. I started in 2007 as an instrumentation and controls engineer working on water and wastewater treatment plant projects all across the U.S., providing me with a background in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems comprised of programmable logic controllers, local and remote input/output hardware, computer-based human machine interfaces (HMI’s), database servers, network communications, and detailed control strategies. In 2012 I started working in the high-voltage power delivery industry, both performing myself and leading others in substation designs ranging from 12.47kV to 345kV. I’ve had experience with physical substation design, protection and controls design, substation security design, rigid bus load calculations, and lightning protection analysis. In 2016 I started performing engineering management and project management duties, leading and managing a large group of professionals to deliver successful, cost effective solutions to our clients. As a result, I’ve developed insight into all aspects of the project process including project management, engineering management, engineering design, specifications preparation, and regular communication between clients and vendors.I earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, with an emphasis in Power Systems. I’m also a licensed professional engineer in Kansas, Michigan, and Wisconsin.I’m passionate about delivering successful, cost effective solutions and I am always looking for new opportunities to help solve complex problems.
