I work with a tremendously talented group of accountants who are responsible for our Accounts Receivable, Cash, Benefits Accounting, Environmental Accounting, EPS & EPU Calculations, Prepaids, Debt, and other assorted topics; hence the name, General Accounting.I have two main sets of responsibilities, firstly working with my team to ensure that they are able to be successful in their roles, this includes consulting with them on new topics, emerging accounting issues, past errors, business unit requests, and system interface problems.Secondly, I am responsible for coaching and developing the members of my team so that they can grow and develop new skills and capabilities and advance in their own careers.

I am responsible for the day to day management of audits designed to provide assurance that Marathon's employees are following our corporate procedures and government regulations. My responsibilities include:• Consulting with the general audit manager to develop the audit risk universe;• Designing and writing audit test programs;• Validating and updating, control descriptions, process narratives and corporate policies;• Identifying, investigating and understanding control exceptions• Developing potential solutions to prevent and/or mitigate control exceptions• Providing recommendations on how to make a process more efficient, faster and consistent with the rest of the organization• Training and developing staff• Reviewing workpapers for completeness, accuracy and clarity

Working under the supervision of the Delek's Audit Committee, I assess and evaluate the risks posed to the operations of Delek US Holdings in order to identify areas that require or would benefit from review by an objective party within the company. Our primary role is to review the operations of business segments within the company to ensure that they are complying with corporate policies. Additionally we review compliance with the laws, rules and regulations that govern our operations and areas within our operations where efficiencies can be achieved.
