Member of the team responsible for delivering the Hotspot JVM's compilers and garbage collectors. Primary focus is on the G1 GC - a low pause, soft real-time, concurrent garbage collector.

Part of a multi-geographic team responsible for implementing performance improvments to the C2 server compiler in Sun's Hotspot JVM on the Intel Titanium architecture including improvements in instruction scheduling, code generation, and some high-level optimizations.

Member of the team responsible for re-targeting multiple versions of the Sun Java Virtual Machine (initially "classic" and later "Hotspot") to HP platforms - (PA-RISC and Intel Itanium) running HP-UX.

Worked on EPC's Fortran 77 and Fortran 90 compilers for Sparc, RS/6000, Mips, and x86 - focusing on front end and intermediate representation development. Was EPC's primary representative on the X3J3 Fortran Standards Committee.
