September 2008 – May 2011: Quality & Risk ManagementI supported the development and operation of the firm's partner-led, internal quality and risk review program for projects and proposals. This included developing the initial infrastructure (criteria, tracking system, forms, etc.) and management of day-to-day operations. I managed communication with partners, content in our tracking and reporting system, reported status to leadership, attended pipeline meetings to ensure proposals were properly evaluated, and I collaborated with the firm's information managers to ensure that our information was consistent with regard to client / project information and the firm's service and industry taxonomies.I also served as business analyst and project manager for our internal review tool. This involved regular collaboration with our offshore development team.June 2007 – August 2008: Process Enablement TeamI supported the development of the firm's custom application development methodology (i.e., processes, tools, templates, etc.) and ensured its alignment with the CMMI. I prepared the organization for a successful CMMI level 3 appraisal. This involved working with multiple partners in multiple locations across the US.

I helped develop an IT organization, staffing and service model from scratch and implement it through training and working one-on-one with project managers and proposal leads. As part of the effort, I created templates, tools, and training and aligned them with ITIL, PMBOK and the CMMI, and helped prepare the organization for a successful CMMI level 3 appraisal. This position involved regularly reporting to C level leadership.

At GAO, I led and participated in research and developed congressional briefings, reports and testimonies. I developed a deep understanding of US Federal Government and policy,gained experience working in a structured research and publishing environment, and I regularly communicated with senior congressional staff, leadership at Federal agencies, and briefed and helped prepare GAO leadership to deliver congressional testimony.My work touched on many technology concepts, including information security, continuity of operations planning, cost estimation, enterprise architecture, IPv6, IT acquisition, software development methodologies (e.g., CMMI), and satellite technology.
