I contribute to scenic construction for a variety of projects - from corporate events to theatre, commercials, film and television. Latest projects include "Betrayal" for ABC, FOX's "Mob Doctor" in 2012, "Playboy Club" in 2011, and various pilots/commercials.

Constructing complex, pristine scenery for opera and musical productions in Skylight's beautiful proscenium house and adjacent studio space. Primarily steel, wood and foam construction.

Primary responsibilities: safe, accurate and timely construction of theatrical scenery for over 100 projects with varied resources, materials, staff and schedules (generally at least two projects occurring simultaneously). Some project highlights include installations in Peoria Civic Center leading large union crew for Hallmark Channel video event, THE QUIET MAN TALES theatrical install in Chicago Theatre downstairs space, numerous productions for Writers Theatre of Glencoe, Noble Fool Theatricals, Light Opera Works - in addition to frequent window displays for the Michigan Avenue Ralph Lauren storefront in downtown Chicago.

Hired on as Properties Master for summer of 'Kids at Play' summer program. Then asked to stay as member of full-time staff as Carpenter and Technician for musical theatre studio season. In short time (two summer programs and one studio season), collaboratively produced fifteen shows - ten large musicals, and five studio shows. Some projects including: AIN'T MISBEHAVIN', ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, THE KING AND I, SCROOGE: THE MUSICAL, I LOVE YOU YOU'RE PERFECT NOW CHANGE, THE WIZARD OF OZ, GUYS AND DOLLS... Sound Operator for four of five studio musical productions with casts of 5-25 with body microphones and orchestra amplification.

Responsibilities included a variety of maintenance tasks for a large proscenium and studio theatre space (seating repair, lighting and sound equipment setup and maintenance, storage organization and general upkeep...), changing over between music, vocal, touring productions, and building scenery and props for department productions and troubleshooting technical issues.
