Since 2009 I have been responsible for web and application development, SQL server administration and product development for Retriever Merchant Services (RMS). In April 2021, RMS was acquired by Payroc and I moved into a Product Management role, heading up the development efforts for the Agent / ISO channel within Payroc. With over 20 years experience managing residual calculations and agent commission payouts, I am spearheading an effort to consolidate a unified residual payout engine company wide.

Responsible for the design and development of SIA, a suite of Windows and Web applications built with ASP.NET, VB.NET, ADO.NET and SQL Server 2000. SIA is a full scale customer tracking system for various credit card and credit card processing merchants including – Visa, MasterCard and other non-bank card types. SIA was split into four major applications (SIA, SIA Online, RESI, Proc) running on six servers (SQL, Email, File, Scan, Fax, Web). Designed and developed SIA Online as an ASP.Net web application which enables our sales people to login and view or edit customer data. Designed and developed RESI as a VB.NET, ADO.NET, SQL Server 2000 Windows application which consolidated data from 10 data feeds, manipulates the data and populates the tables from which the sales reports are generated. Designed and Developed PROC as a VB.NET, ADO.NET, SQL Server Windows Application for our nightly processing engine which generates reports that are automatically faxed and emailed to our sales reps. Development work for the various applications included creating extensive creation of stored procedures, triggers, views and queries for SQL Server 2000. Developed web services for proof of concept for web site security. Set up and developed security protocols within SIA. Created prototype applications in C# for adding functionality to SIA Online application.

Provide on-going support for several projects that I developed at Lease Capiltal Group. The applications import data into SQL Server, perform calculations and then deliver reports. The reports are delivered automatically via email / .PDF to the recipients.

Managed a group of 8 developers working on the Regional Lockbox Consolidation project. Our goal was to consolidate client accounts that were at 16 different sites within the bank, on many different systems, into six sites and one common platform. This common platform, a third party program called Lockbox Plus, produces data transmissions that are sent to the bank’s clients on a daily basis. When Lockbox Plus was not able to produce a transmission in the proper format we needed to write custom applications to address the deficiency in Lockbox Plus. In addition to managing the day-to-day activities for this group of developers I also worked as the lead architect, designing solutions to some of the more significant hurdles that we had to overcome.

Application: Environmental Management Information System (EMIS)EMIS is a web-based system that allows broad based real time access to information regarding the environmental conditions at all properties monitored by Versar. EMIS was created to address the growing concern of environmental liability as it relates to the acquisition and ongoing management of various types of real estate. The EMIS allows users to schedule activities such as: annual environmental audits, corrective actions, and to generate a variety of reports which allow management ready access to the status of planned, ongoing and completed environmental activities at all monitored properties. While I worked individually as the coder I was an active member of an 8-person design team, which met regularly throughout the project lifecycle. EMIS is currently running with 200-300 happy users.This is a three tiered ASP project with a COM interface that handled all of the business logic between the ASP pages and a SQL database. The site was designed to work with Netscape and Internet Explorer.

Application: StarDocThis Intranet based web application replaces several existing systems handling everything from order creation and order tracking through sending the completed transactions to the general ledger. One goal of the project was to use the latest technologies so we were given a great deal of time to learn new and better ways to code the project. While the bulk of my time was spent working with ASP, VBScript and JavaScript we created alternate solutions using such technologies as XML/XSL and SOAP. The back end of this project was created using a blend of COM Components in MTS and direct ADO connections to stored procedures from ASP.

Application: Vendor Maintenance, Dealer Accounts Payable (DAP) After successfully completing the DAP system I was worked as the project lead on the Vendor Maintenance system. As project lead I assumed full responsibility for requirements gathering, timeline proposal, project summary documentation, and management and support for two other programmers. I also created the architecture for the user interface and supporting COM objects. Beyond that, I did much of the program development, debugging, maintenance and distribution.
