The undercover operation resulted in the recovery of stolen high technology cargo valued at over $480 million. The operation resulted in the prosecution of ten individuals on various charges related to organized crime. The operation utilized an undercover logistics warehouse and an undercover agent who purported to deal in stolen high technology products and grey market software. The case was directly supported by the Rapid Enforcement Allied Computer Team [REACT], a Silicon Valley-based task force comprised of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. The undercover case was one of the FBI's first successful long-term undercover cases involving the theft of high technology components originating out of the Silicon Valley.
