John Dowd | BEng(Hons) MSc CEng MIFireE MCABE John is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE). Extensive knowledge and understanding have been gained both in a regulatory role within a Fire and Rescue Service and consultancy roles within the commercial fire engineering field.This comprehensive exposure, covering a range of projects of varying complexities, working directly with clients and regulators in all sectors has allowed John to gain a fundamental understanding of fire safety legislation and property protection objectives within the built environment.John has gained a true appreciation of architectural designs, client expectations, time and cost limitations, and most importantly, the benefits of team work in a project. Listening to a client and working collaboratively with a design team is imperative to delivering a successful project.
