About John Dowe

Having been passionately committed to flying people around the world for 30 years, with amazing colleagues, technology and engineering. It was a natural progression to be solving people’s ability to access travel, against the odds of being isolated in Australia. It is in my DNA to reengineer ordinary travel options into something special, by being done differently. Also creating better, innovative, off piste ways for travellers to engage with and move around our amazing planet. Importantly, whilst doing so, we are committed to reducing carbon emissions.Formerly, I progressed through my aviation career to the position of Boeing 747 Captain with Qantas International. Having spent 30 years with the company, I decided it was time to stop traveling the planet without our family of six and instead to take them with me. In doing so we could then experience travel through their eyes as well.My extensive knowledge of travel, imbedded with my operational airline experience, has led to totally connected and affordable travel experiences, which truly reflect the 'Art of Travel', as well as my absolute passion for it.Inclusive team management skills, agile problem solving and the ability to pivot required as an airline captain, combined with corporate strategy and legal experience, along with a fabulous network, has equipped me with a comprehensive skill set to take Points Jet forward.
