I started my career in digital media development in the early 2000's. Born from a passion to "figure things out" I started in the Web and Digital Media Development Bachelors program at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. During school and for a short time after graduating I worked as a media specialist for Roehl Transportation wearing many hats, as a managing editor of their internal print publication, redesigning multiple public facing websites, leading their intranet team, and scripting and producing audio and video communications.My move to Marshfield Clinic presented unique opportunities. I still think it's pretty cool that I got to build and deploy a Flash Media Server very early on in my career that allowed us to embed video on a homegrown content management system that is best referred to by it's nickname 'content destroyer'. In 2013 we re-platformed our public facing website on SharePoint. The site https://www.marshfieldclinic.org launched in March of 2013 as a fully responsive web design. To my knowledge it was the first responsive website in the healthcare space.Since then I lead our writing team through a transition from print focused to digital first and helped them build a beautiful blog and e-marketing platform found at https://shine365.marshfieldclinic.org.I am passionate about user experience and surrounding myself with the people who can not only get it done but have a great time doing it.
