Starting off with a single development team, I was able to grow this position to total of 21 direct reports. This included both remote and in office personnel within 3 geographic locations (Jacksonville, Denver, and London). This role grew to include the management of the a few software engineering teams, as well as a few operational teams, namely the DevOps and Database Administrator groups. As this role evolved, the organizational structure changed to see this position focus on the software engineering discipline. I currently manage 5 software engineering teams across 3 main divisions of work.

A fully customizable software as a service package catering to the management of large contract workforces. Intelligent workforce solutions is helping to revolutionize the HR management industry. I started working with the International team to help overcome the challenges experienced when growing a company global. I was promoted to Technical manager after spending a number of years specializing in the financial services area of the company as a software engineer. I continue to this day to perform financial subject matter expertise for the company.

As a recently acquired company by Textron. lead the development goals the company received from its parent corporation and its customers. This effort provided the best in class service for the aviation industry in maintenance tracking, flight log management, and document storage. As a sister company to the Bell Helicopter wing of Textron, provided an internal company solution that furnished Bell with an easy tracking solution and allow for transparency from creation to purchase and beyond.

In a critical moment, utilized skills to help complete Conformance testing and move to production the infrastructure required for a Registered Traveler program local in Jacksonville sponsored by Transportation Security Administration and Jacksonville Aviation Administration. Including online registration, VIP login, secure transactions, biometric device interfaces for enrollment and verification, JMS over SSL for interoperable communication of pre-defined, encrypted and digitally signed xml messages, and verification and automatic response notifications. Developed a web registration and management interface including integration with online payment functions for the 2007 Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament. Designed and developed web interface for COM device interoperability for a Point of Access project to track access to secure facilities and locations.

Responsible for the design, development, and support of an SDK used to help third party applications easily integrate with Fidelity’s Information Systems for the dynamic, on demand creation of user documents. Created and supported the necessary web service interfaces required for direct communication across the web. Developed many back end services to help ease some of the pressures on a high demand system for better scalability and future development including the utilization of Message Queues for fail-safe processing when performing server to server communication, automatic response notifications and alerts, and documentation of architectural structure and support applications.
