An entrepreneur in energy and energy services companies for over three decades, John Bain has built and grown several geophysical technology companies, including multiple successful exits. Bain Geophysical provides geophysical QC, processing and integrated interpretation services to the worldwide exploration community. John has written numerous technical articles on methods for tight integration of multiple geophysical techniques, and has developed new, industry-leading software techniques for magnetic depth to basement determination – a critical factor for effective exploration and basin modeling. John continues to be involved in coaching and advising various startup technology companies, in both the energy and medical technology fields.
