IT consultant assigned to JC Penney.Responsibilities:• Developed business objects in VB6 that interfaced with the JCPenney.Com products page. Primary functionality included retrieving product information such as product description, product images, swatch images, SKU-level attributes, and fit information/size chart pop up windows.• Developed business objects in VB6 that supported shopping basket activities such as adding/updating purchase items, gift registry, and media pricing. These objects interfaced with MS Site Server’s Order Form object to record product and customer information.• Wrote stored procedures using MS SQL Server TSQL to supply product and pricing information from the Internet Store database to the business objects. Also used Query Analyzer for performance tuning on existing stored procedures.• Created/modified ASP forms that interfaced with the business objects. Used VBScript for server-side logic and JScript for client-side processing.

Participated in the design and development of an n-tier Windows DNA application that is hosted for our clients by an ISP as well as on site. The application is a suite of 5 major modules. Performed functional specification analysis, technical architecting, prototyping, and development for 3 of the 5 modules. This company provides products and services to the Chemical, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical and Petroleum process industries. It’s mission is to assist these industries with the rigorous task of training their employees, monitoring the training statistics of their employees, and allow their employees to direct their own training where strict OSHA guidelines are in effect and employee job competency is strongly regulated and audited.

Project Consultant: At Medco, Amisys client: Developed specifications for patient tracking module. Designed SQL/Server database using ErWin.Programmer: At BTI, Utilized Cognos Powerhouse to maintain applications.Database Administrator and Designer: Designed and implemented a SQL Server 6.5 database for Contact and marketing management system running on Windows NT for NYLCare. Developed a generic search engine for SQL queries.Developer and Database modeler: After conducting specification requirements with client in medical occupational medicine, developed a pen based prototype written under Windows 95 in Visual Basic 4.0 and SQL Server 6.5. Developer and Support engineer : Designed and developed an application for PrimeCo Communications to track multiple levels of Project task information over the network. Interfaced with Microsoft Project. Utilized Visual Basic 4.0, Microsoft Access, and Crystal Reports. Also utilized Lotus Notes.Project Lead programmer designer and developer for an oil /gas inventory and production system for Unocal client utilizing Microsoft Access 2.0 and Visual Basic 3.0.Senior Programmer / Database Designer: Developed an OSHA hearing compliance application to track historical hearing tests, schedule employees, interface to an audiometer , and conduct and grade the test. This was developed for American Airlines and is written in Visual Basic 3.0 with Microsoft Access and HP TurboIMAGE as the historical database. The application exceeds the requirements of the OSHA standards for reporting hearing loss for OSHA covered job positions in transportation. Senior Programmer/Developer: Designed and implemented a major loan processing package to process student loans. It included interfaces to other legacy systems, as well as billing, and loan collection processes. The database used was HP’s ALLBASE, running on an HP3000. The application was developed in Speedware Version 7.

Duties included maintaining and enhancing existing application software, developing new applications, providing program specifications and documentation, and other administrative duties pertaining to the manufacturing, inventory, and financial applications suite. Platform was HP 3000 running Boeing Computer Systems FORTRAN-based Production Management System, with ancillary applications in Cognos Powerhouse, COBOL and Speedware.Participated in design, development and implementation of a Supplier Scheduling System that communicates current and anticipated material requirements to suppliers. Used COBOL 85/XL, VIEW/3000, and COBOL/VIEW with Speedware v5 to develop this system.Developed a Speedware-based Failure Analysis Parts System to track parts requiring inspection by Quality Assurance and scrap disposition of all parts determined to be defective.Enhanced a scrap reporting system to accurately track shop floor and inventory scrap transaction dollar values, including retrieving rollup dollars based on end-items bill of material structures. All reports were developed using Speedware v5. Significantly enhanced an industrial engineering Statement of Work Maintenance Application using Speedware 6 and VIEW/3000, including “what if” analysis using the learning curve theory.

Duties included maintaining existing financial applications and developing new applications in an HP 3000 Classic environment. Participated in design, development and implementation of a retail/wholesale oil and gas system using Powerhouse, Quick, Quiz, and QTP. Used QTP to interface to a COBOL-based G/L system and as a front-end to Quiz for complex reports.

Responsible for installing ASK G/L on a VAX 11/780 platform. Also designed and assisted in development of a G/L consolidation and currency conversion system. Managed conversion of a 24 to 14 character G/L chart of accounts.

Responsible for installing/developing and maintaining financial applications for this telecommunications company. Wrote conversion software to transport master files from IBM system to HP platform. Applications include Software International’s G/L and A/P systems, McCormack & Dodge Fixed Asset system. Developed customer Order Entry/Order Management system using COBOL and Powerhouse QUICK and QUIZ. Also rewrote a marketing forecasting system that projected sales and end-item requirements using product mixes and trend analysis.

Supported ASK’s MANMAN and FINMAN applications, including developing and applying in-house modifications to ASK packages. Developed and implemented a fixed assets system and marketing commission system. Worked part-time while attending Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.
