Facilities Manager for the Ascension Borgess Properties team serving southwest Michigan.

Residential heating and cooling service and installation. Design and consultation for homeowners who are looking to upgrade their home’s HVAC/comfort systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Conduct and responsible for the preventative maintenance and inspection of all types of HVAC systems, controls, boilers and refrigeration units.• Perform building inspections, installations and repairs of mechanical/non-mechanical and electrical building systems, lighting systems, and electrical door openers. • Coordinate outside contractors related to maintenance services.• Collaborate with District’s Energy Education Manager to seek new opportunities for energy efficiencies that serve to minimize energy costs for the District.• Manage and oversee the budget, inventory control, and parts purchasing for all maintenance related items to include contracted services related to maintenance repair of the facilities.• Meet regularly with building administrators to perform building walkthroughs and to ensure building maintenance needs are prioritized and all aspects of facilities meet or exceed required codes.• Responsible for training of employees on generating and completing work orders on system. Processes and schedules maintenance requests.• Ensure staff is trained in and practice safe work habits.• Maintain all safety and code requirements of the State, local and Board of Education guidelines.LEA Maintenance Services: • Perform maintenance duties as expected by contract with associated school districts.• Coordinate and monitor contractors for repairs, inspections and certifications on systems.• Coordinate and follow up quotes for major projects/repairs performed by KRESA.• Coordinate and follow up quotes for major projects/repairs performed by contractors.• Coach/Train districts on maintenance procedures that would be within their capabilities.• Oversee work orders on system sent from associated districts.• Prepare invoices for work performed at associated districts.• Meet with superintendents or maintenance directors regularly for continual updates/communication.

Oversees HVAC/R, plumbing, lighting, and building automation systems.Collaborates with Energy Education to reduce energy consumption and enhance energy efficiency in our facilities.Possesses a State Mechanical License for KRESA.Maintains EPA compliance concerning facilities and maintenance areas.

Performed maintenance and repair of chillers, DX systems, hydronic heating and cooling systems, boilers and HVAC equipment. Worked with controls technicians learning building automation/DDS controls. Was member of company’s safety board and was a part of the certified confined space rescue team. First Aid and CPR certified.www.a1refrig.com
