• Responsible for the Interactive Technologies Department reporting to the Senior Director of Product Development• Primary role is leadership of the full lifecycle of development of the company’s flagship client/server product for performing advanced scientific simulation (structures, fluids, acoustics, thermal)• Other responsibilities include leading the development of breakthrough new technologies and oversight of multimedia documentation and online help across all product lines. • Management of multi-site development and establishment of out-sourced development teams.

• Responsible for the Engagement and Program Management Department reporting to the VP of Product Development• Primary role is working with CEO and Department VPs on strategic product engagements. Engagements are across all geographies and impact multiple product lines and development sites.• Oversight of the Program Management Office (PMO)

• Responsible for the Abaqus/CAE and Abaqus-for-CATIA products reporting to the Senior Director of Application Development. • Management of development teams that total more than 40 developers across 4 development sites in the USA, Europe, and India• Founded the Simulia Development Lab. at 3DPLM in Pune, India• Key activities include managing all development and planning processes, recruiting, team building, performance management, budgeting, and high-level interaction with the Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and Product Management Departments

• Responsible for a development group within the Abaqus/CAE product team and Abaqus-for-CATIA product team reporting to the Director of Application Development• Leadership of the Abaqus-for-CATIA product from concept through V2.4 (in total 12 full development cycles) using an adapted Agile development process. Abaqus-for-CATIA was the first new product introduced by the company since Abaqus/Design (see below). The development team was distributed across 3 continents including an outsourced India-based team.

• Responsible for the Abaqus/Design product, reporting to Paul Sorensen, Senior Partner, Hibbitt, Karlsson & Sorensen (HKS, subsequently called Abaqus Inc.)• Management of Abaqus/Design from concept through public release• Leader of the cross functional team which defined and deployed the companywide Software Development Process. Process has been used successfully for all software development since 2001.
