Estimator for a steel fabricator/supplier within the commercial construction industry.

As a general contractor I was involved with all aspects of the building process. I was often subcontracted by larger, well established companies to specialize in a specific need such as framing or tile. The experience I gained over the years has allowed me to obtain a hands on understanding of nearly every trade seen throughout the building process. I have been involved in estimating, bidding, scheduling and implementation.

As a Deconstruction Associate I was part of a team tasked with the careful dismantling of structures in the Austin, TX area for the purpose of recycling and salvage. Money that was generated from this process was funneled back into Austin's Habitat for Humanity. A few of the valuable tools gained through this experience include the ability to organize and lead large groups of inexperienced volunteers, seeing how a not-for-profit entity operates (and how difficult that can be), becoming more of a part of the community in which I live. I was also able to hone in on my estimating, bidding, and scheduling skill-sets.

Koerber Construction Inc. designs and builds custom homes. I participated in all phases of the builiding process including framing, material procurement, quality control, and the management of various subcontractors. I assessed plans and provided feedback to management.

During my time with FedEx I managed the loading, unloading, and scanning process of packages for transit. It was necessary to maintain a strong routine and schedule while operating in a fast-paced environment. I frequently produced lower error reports than fellow co-workers with the same job description.
