At first, I had attended college at Rowan University for business, but quickly realized that was not the field for me. I wanted to make a positive impact on those struggling in my community, and I feel a sense of pride knowing that I made somebody just a little bit uplifted.Naturally, I switched my studies to psychology, and I’ve been fascinated with building my knowledge in the science since then. I’m interested in furthering my skills to be a licensed mental health counselor in both school and private practice settings, and I’d like to focus on learning more about mental health, education, and adolescent populations as well. In the future, I hope to assist people overcome their greatest challenges. This year, I am striving to develop my professional skills in the counseling field through additional trainings and job opportunities. I currently am certified through QPR and trained in Mental Health First Aid. Additionally, I am volunteering for the crisis hotline and have interned as a case management intern over the summer with The Morlock Foundation
