New nonprofit organization dedicated to understanding and explaining the latest science about long- term rising sea level, directly interfacing with the private sector (businesses and individuals), the public sector (governments at all levels and NGO's), and the scientific / academic communities.The Institute will train professionals in engineering, architecture, finance, law, and planning to prepare for the challenging era ahead. It will act as an advisor to communities that want to anticipate and adapt to higher ocean levels and will review plans. The Institute's focus is on adaptation, but also will address the connection with various efforts at "sustainability" to slow the warming that may slow the rate of ocean rise. The Institute expects to be fully operational in 2018.

The Institute of Marie Sciences at the University of California - Santa Cruz (UCSC) is a multi-disciplinary research and teaching program initiated in 1972. GETF has worked for decades on global issues of water, energy, and sustainability. My focus area with them is to look at the vulnerability and adaptation in coastal areas to long term sea level rise, combining with storms and extreme tides.

Developed highly innovative dolphin program on Grand Bahama Island. Guests became part of interactive education encounter in world's largest dolphin lagoon. There was also a daily encounter in the open ocean with scuba divers, outside of captivity.

Served as Chairman of the Board for National Association of Underwater Instructors. International organizaiton that trained diving instructors and certified divers. Affiliates in Canada, Japan, Australia, and Europe. Implemented quick turnaround from brink of insolvency.
