I am the Assistant Director, Buildings and Grounds at Connecticut College, a private liberal arts institution with a beautiful campus. I lead a team of more than sixty professionals who maintain and enhance the college's facilities and grounds. With years of experience in facilities engineering and management, I have a proven track record of delivering successful projects and solutions for complex and diverse facility needs.In my previous role as a regional facilities manager and facilities engineer for the U.S. Coast Guard, I managed a multi-million dollar facility portfolio across three states and supervised over sixty people. I also assisted in managing day to day operations across multiple departments, such as logistics, procurement, and security. I have a strong background in leadership and management, welding and the trades, and safety, as well as certifications in these fields. I am passionate about solving problems and finding innovative ways to improve the efficiency, sustainability, and aesthetics of the facilities and grounds I oversee. I am committed to excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement in my work.
