As an Applied Behavior Technician at Dublin High School, I play a vital role in supporting students aged 16-22 with developmental challenges. I’m An ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapist working with children on the autism spectrumIn my field of working with children on the spectrum in home here’s some of the things I do.Behavioral Interventions**: Implement ABA techniques to encourage positive behaviors and reduce negative or harmful behaviors. I was a teacher for The Envisions with Sabronto in Walnut Creek. I started this year in the month of June and I’m currently working here. I am looking for another job, closer to me. A accomplishment I’ve already made working as a teacher in Oakland Ca is actually implementing our program with this new school district. It’s the first year “The Envisions” have been at this school site. I have my own class Monday- Friday for about 1 - 2 hours everyday. As An extended learning program it’s my job to implement lessons and keep the scholars brain working. I come up with daily schedules filled with activities for the scholars to do such as ; Their homework, Hands on Projects, Different kinds of printouts English, Math, science etc. I also have the scholars do team work to build their communication skills, sharing skills etc. I also input their attendance as well as keep up with their current grades on Aeries.
