Injection Molding Sustaining Engineer

•Implementation of robust systems and procedures that improve quality and increase productivity. Necessitates in depth understanding of the interaction between existing systems and procedures to ensure redundancies are eliminated and overlaps are as intended•ERP liaison for the injection molding department, ensure accuracy of data in ERP system as well as sustainability of new product implementation into ERP system•Project owner for evaluation, proof of concept and implementation of new systems (ERP, MRP, MES, eDHR) to drive continuous improvement•Identify gaps in current procedures, processes and systems to determine areas of improvement and implement updates or changes accordingly•Project owner of targeted re-validation and 2nd machine validations to ensure robust IQ/OQ/PQ exists for legacy processes•Respond to production quality events promptly to ensure sustained, effective measures are put in place•Act as the liaison between new-product development and production in the role of “trainer” to ensure a smooth transition into production•Act as Engineering representative for Quality related projects (CAPA, Customer Feedback, Non-Conformance, Supplier Quality Events)•Monitor new launches to understand actual costs compared to quoted estimate. Identify and implement improvements when applicable •Champion of 5S activities and sustainability of 5S initiatives in the manufacturing environment •Track metrics and report findings to help drive continuous improvements
