Hired to overhaul the complete IT infrastructure and software platforms for a multi-state manufacturer of custom walk-in refrigeration and freezer systems in the retail and scientific verticals, I mentor and motivate a 50+ person cross-functional team and lead nine executives through the various stages of IT transformation with responsibility for migrating hundreds of legacy applications to modern solutions, with some outright forklift system upgrades. As a core member of the Senior Management team, I provide IT thought leadership and oversee the planning and execution of the organization’s short- and long-term information technology strategies. To date, we have added $30MM of enterprise value by leading the complete corporate infrastructure replacement including all servers (Virtualized), a data center consolidation, local network replacement (Extreme), phone system replacement (Shoretel), and the architecture and implementation of SDN-Software Defined Network (Cato Networks). Additionally, we have achieved excellent uptime by building a disaster recovery system on (Veeam) attaining high availability (99.999%). We are now in the middle of a complete transformation through all business front and back end systems including ERP, Quotation, Configuration, CAD redesign, and workflow, effectively a wholesale changeout to a future of more scalable operations.

Tasked to guide all aspects of IT at a food manufacturing company across 8 US based locations, I developed and executed IT plans and led continuous improvement activities across all major disciplines while ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives and objectives. A core member of the Senior Management team, we worked together to grow the company from $600MM to $1.88 billion (via multiple acquisition opportunities). We improved performance and business capability for Finance, Customer Service, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Shipping/Receiving, and Warehouse Management with both off the shelf and custom developed platforms. I managed a 50+ person cross-functional team including leading ten direct reports as well as supervising multiple contractors with responsibility for spearheading the implementation of multiple IT systems and solutions and driving the complete migration and integration of three companies as a function of M&A activities.

Leading and mentoring an 8+ person team I manage and direct all aspects of IT for a $120MM multi-site food service equipment manufacturer (four locations Dallas, Wyoming, New York, and Mexico). Driving the lean transformation and change initiatives, I developed and sustained best-in-class manufacturing performance improvements. Integrating forward-thinking tools to replace Nortel legacy platforms, I achieved a reliable, fast, and secure multi-site IT infrastructure through the implementation of new help desk systems/processes, ERP, open source VOIP, and scanning solutions to enable follow-the-sun customer service operations across the United States. Heavily involved in consolidation opportunities as part of business synergy projects.

Engaged by the new management team and charged with re-implementing Information Technology procedures and processes at $100MM food manufacturer. In short time frame implemented forklift upgrades to the ERP system - Infor XA (then called MAPICS), cabling infrastructure (Twinax to Gigabit Ethernet), Active Directory and Exchange implementation and Asterisk-based phone system. Implemented Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and processes at the organization. Parent company, Cool Brands, declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy in October 2006. Actively worked with the Federal Bankruptcy Court Receivers to clean up and document systems and records as part of the facility closing and liquidation.
