I always seem to rise to manager in my jobs. As a bartender during college I rose to bar manager in almost every bar I worked. I finally left college to became a full time Restaurant Manager with a bar as one of my responsibilities. From that Restaurant I moved on to the Food Service of the Performing Arts Center in Downtown Milwaukee. It included a restaurant & lounge, banquet rooms; one that sat over 400 people and several intermission bars that serviced the three theaters in the Center. In summer we had an outside concession stand for the Milwaukee Journal Sponsored "Rainbow Summer Concerts." I was involved in every facet of the food service from booking customers events to running the events and ordering all the beverages used in the facility. I moved from that to become a Hotel Catering Manager and I was involved in the sales department of daily business meetings, dinners, weddings and any other function held at the hotel. I also was in charge of the restaurant and lounge and was the Manager on Duty of the entire hotel for weekends and nights...........................................................................................I was offered a position as the Audio Visual Sales Representative and Rental Department Manager at Midwest Visual Equipment Company while I was working at the hotel. It was a career jump that lasted for 15 years. As A/V Rental Manager I was responsible for our rental accounts and for acquiring new accounts in order to build the department's revenue. My department handled the maintenance of over a million dollars of equipment and purchased new equipment as the market demanded newer and more state-of-the-art products. After 15 years I was offered the coordinator position at Audio Visual of Milwaukee where I managed the installation department of the company.
