My approach, based on an equal partnership, is to provide reflective time to explore the work of the coach and offer the opportunity for them to step back metaphorically and take a Meta-perspective on their practice, covering some or all of the following areas: Clients (individuals, groups, organisations) that are the focus of their work; Interventions: what are they doing to bring about a difference? Relationships: what kind of relationship is involved and is it working? Reactions: what is happening to the coach as s/he is doing the work?  What is happening between the supervisor and coach? Is this reflecting in anyway what is happening between the coach and their work? What is happening to the supervisor as s/he listens and works with what is bought to supervision? What organisational or contextual issues are having an impact on the work?It is a place where the coach presents and discusses facts and perceptions about their work, and where the supervisor manages and facilitates a process of learning and development and new knowledge is co-creation. The interaction and learning depends on the stage the coach is at in their profession.

I design and facilitate workshops aimed at bringing about valuable knowledge exchange, between major corporations, government agencies, and local authorities such as M&S, Tesco, GSK, AstraZeneca, Inland Revenue, Land registry and Westminster Council etc.The topics addressed are targeted at current Information technology (IT) issues they are facing today and involve different levels of the organisations form Directors, Divisional Directors,Executives and Senior Managers both technical and business. Collaboration across businesses and within a business can produce amazing results.

Change/Quality executive at “Rethink”I was seconded by Marks & Spencer for two years to Rethink, a large mental health charity. I reported directly to the CEO and acted as a catalyst to support a restructure, and a cultural change initiative. My major achievements were: Develop & implement a National Quality program for their three hundred centres Implement a large “Contacts” computer system for fund raising, marketing etc Set up its first IT department and went on to develop & implement an IT software, communication, and hardware strategyI loved being able to use my corporate skills and perspectives to benefit a large voluntary organisation

I spent 30 years working for large corporations of these 25 were spent with the leading retailer Marks & Spencer initially as an accountant and then senior roles in Information Technology (IT).Transferring from the business community into IT gave me the unique opportunity to bridge the commercial and technical challenges that were being faced at the time of a major investment in computerisation of the whole business.Many of the lead roles included program & project management, negotiating & contracting large projects and as Head International IT bringing together the different commercial and systems thinking into a comprehensive strategy to enable the business to expand overseas.Head of International IT 1990-1994Clothing Program & Development Manager 1982-1996Project Manager IT 1978-1982Management Accountant 1973-1978My main achievements included:Project Managing Point of Sale system for 200 stores Developing IT Systems strategy for the international business Selecting & implementing HR and finance packages. As one of our charity initiatives it was also used to support the Royal Academy of Arts.
