Implemented updated timing changes in October 2015 at 20 intersections.·Re-designed a bike safety brochure and bike map for the City of Salem Bike Advisory Committee·With MAPC, coordinated the creation of a Complete Streets Policy and a Complete Streets Working Group to bring city employees, board/commission members, advocates, and local businesses together for better and safer streets.·Collaborated with the City’s Sustainability Planner to streamline signups for the free bike share program, Salem Spins.·Launched a Safe Routes to School program and hired a coordinator to identify and develop the program involving walking school buses, commuter surveys, and snow clearance issues.·Collaborated with MAPC, WalkBoston, MassBike, MassDOT and Salem PD to implement a MassDOT funded bike/ped safety program.-Implemented comprehensive pedestrian, bicycle, and auto counts with mobile counting devices to measure against crash data to identify high risk areas as well as identify priority sidewalk repair locations.-Integrated installation of drinking water fountains in the 10-year Master Plan and received $35,000 in CIP funding to install fountains in the summer of 2016 to reduce consumption of sugar sweetened beverages and reduce bottle waste in public parks-Support partner for Salem's Healthy Aging Coalition implementing policy solutions around transportation and the built environment. Designated an AARP Age Friendly Community in 2015.
