Worked on the computer vision team to develop software for our 3D cameras, primarily in C++. Performed various tasks including developing automated hardware diagnostics tools and recalibration software, color camera software support, postprocessing filters for improved point cloud accuracy, and various optimizations to 3D capture. I also spearheaded the creation of new API support for our cameras to allow customers to use our hardware more flexibly, supported in C++, C# and Python.

Primarily using object-oriented PHP I created and built upon infrastructure to handle the massive influx of data from several games, partners and third-party services. I created various new API connections to third party providers to consolidate crucial data and pass it into the internal AWS Redshift databases. By modifying PHP scripts I ensured constant data fetch and subsequent aggregation into MySQL databases for easy access for internal querying. These aggregations involved calculating crucial metrics, including user retention across various timespans, daily active users (broken down into paying and non-paying), and cost per new user after an ad spend campaign. These analytics were passed back to the games teams for live feedback through an internal website that I managed and created several new pages for. I also worked closely with producers and other executives to provide various dashboards to facilitate them in the process of filling out essential quarterly reports. I also continually updated and modernized existing legacy code throughout my work term, including overseeing an overhaul of the aforementioned internal website to a newer version of PHP and administered new support for a mobile version. I further extracted a legacy query API into its own stand-alone microservice, containerized with docker.

I worked with a team to fulfill Amazon Whole Foods efficiently pack orders in a timely manner. I also communicated directly with customers and offered sensible replacements when items were out of stock to ensure the customer's expectations were fulfilled. During my time at Whole Foods, I successfully managed to increase my performance metrics from week to week.

I assisted my supervisor in preparing immigration documents for refugees. During my internship, I helped tens of refugees on their way to permanent resettlement in Austria. I also worked in a temporary home for refugee minors and acted as an assistant in German lessons.
