Conduct Research on Positive Psychology Interventions, Motivation to Learn, Parent Involvement, Teacher Autonomy-Relatedness Support, Student Engagement, and Parental Autonomy-Relatedness Support. Research involves quanitative quasi-experimental treatment study designs, large scale longitudinal studies (e.g., 20,000 cases), cross-sectional studies, Structural Equation Modeling, and mixed methods studies. Teach a Research Methods course for doctoral and master's students from various fields across campus which includes designing their own experiments, quantitative analysis, selecting reliable measurements and calculating reliability, overcoming threats to validity, basic qualitative analysis, and training in data management and statistical analyses for experiments. Collaborate with World Renowned Professors at Purdue, University of Minnesota, and UC-Berkeley. Teach and mentor about motivation to learn, advanced research techniques, and positive psychology. Dr. Froiland’s parent involvement and student motivation research was recently featured in the Wall Street Journal.

Conduct and lead high quality collaborative applied research to develop and refine world renown clinical assessments for psychologists. Oversaw research and development on intelligence, fluid reasoning, processing speed, logical thinking, and working memory tests. Led the collaboration between researchers, psychometricians, computer scientists, field research, and UX designers. Supervised research assistants, scorers, and writers. Helped oversee a product that made $100 million per year. Consulted with world renowned working memory and intelligence researchers.

Professor in an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited School Psychology program. Developed scientific articles promoting insight into motivation, education, and psychological health. Taught doctoral level courses at the main campus, Denver, and Colorado Springs. Conducted child, family, social psychology, educational psychology, and developmental psychology research. Mentored doctoral students in scientific research and writing. Became a leader in publishing research and mentoring doctoral students, which led to being recognized as one of ten Sponsored Research Fellows on campus.

Researcher and Purdue Faculty Member on a two year contract in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, College of Health and Human Sciences.Dr. Froiland's work at Purdue was funded in large part by the Institute of Education Sciences in Washington, DC.

Provided psychological consultation, counseling, and thorough evaluations for students between the ages of 3 and 21. Served as the team leader for a variety of cases involving behavior, motivation, learning, and other challenges. Led in the design of interventions that enhanced students behavior and academic performance. Provided professional development training for educators, counselors and other school staff.

Specialized in positive systems change, problem-solving, motivational enhancement, advanced counseling, behavioral consultation, family consultation, and prevention of psychological disorders.

Taught 30 student lab sections each semester in the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Special Education. Often taught two such sections each semester, providing 4 hours of instruction each week.
