WORK EXPERIENCEJohn Gallivan is an Executive Director in Cushman & Wakefield's Orange County office. John focuses on commercial real estate consulting (including portfolio strategy, space acquisition and disposition), and has been involved in over 1,500 leasing and sales transactions during the past twenty-six years benefiting institutional clients and professional firms alike. His focus includes assisting corporate, multi-market space occupiers with strategic consulting, transaction and related services.Prior to becoming an Executive Director in Cushman & Wakefield’s Orange County office nineteen years ago, John spent three years as a Director in the Orange County office of Cushman Realty Corporation’s Brokerage Services division; a firm that was merged into, and is now a part of Cushman & Wakefield. Before joining the Orange County office of Cushman Realty Corporation, John was a senior broker in the South Orange County office of CB Richard Ellis, Inc.EDUCATION, MEMBERSHIPS AND AWARDSJohn Gallivan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance (emphasis on Portfolio Theory and Management) from Arizona State University, and has obtained his Masters of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) designation as well as his Masters of Corporate Real Estate - Workplace Strategy (MCR.w) from CoreNet Global, where he has served as a contributing member on the CoreNet Global Education Committee in the past. John has been recognized as a consistent leader and top producer in Cushman & Wakefield’s Orange County office, being named to the firm's prestigious Chairman’s Circle in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2020. He has achieved a high level of success throughout his career, having been involved in some of the most complex and highest profile transactions in the County, and has been honored as The Irvine Company’s Tenant Broker of the Year on numerous occasions. John is an active member in his community and devotes time to fundraising and other meaningful efforts. He resides in South Orange County with his wife, Shanna, and has three grown children.
