Senior Field Surveyor
CurrentRepresent the engineering department as the central point of contact for geospatial related projects. Develop measures and monitor the implementation and results of geospatial process improvement projects; evaluate process results, activities and outcomes and initiate improvements to maximize performance and ensure effective adoption of new/revised processes. Conduct street light surveys; Prior to commencing field survey work, conduct initial (in-person) meeting with the client, go through the pre-survey questionnaire to verify the scope of work including: geographic boundaries, Utility boundaries (where multiple exist), street lights to be excluded (existing LEDs, private), non-street lighting to be included (parks, parking lots, buildings); Train and supervise all new sub-contracted surveyors where present on larger projects; Supervise and monitor sub-contracted surveyor’s quality and quantity of work produced; Once the survey is complete, go through all items noted in the pre-survey questionnaire to verify compliance with the client’s wishes prior to launching the project; Conduct final QA/QC on the collected dataset prior to notifying internal staff that the survey is complete; Conduct lux audits (pre-survey planning, execution, post-survey dataset creation and final report creation); Assist FIS team when required with high voltage audits, deco assessments, light metering readings
