I took adult art classes as a child, I credit the wonderful instructor for her ability and patients to help develop my skills, also i was given quality art books which I used. Really what I did was take some of that info and adapt it to my liking. I like the way I work, relying almost completely on my imagination and memory. My work is apart from most of the same type I associate with land and sea scapes , as well as drawings of nature. Only on a rare occasion is there any sign of life, only the unspoiled environment , before we came along. and began to create waste. I mean it to impress the viewer with my view of the way it was and no longer is. I lived at the beach until 2015 and it is getting worse every year . My objectives are to share my thoughts and art and hopefully cause people to consider what is absent from the work and walk away with a feeling of raw and unspoiled nature. We can do better and we should, to reduce the amount of waste that is now at critical levels. I've spoken with some very talented and capable people here, who are willing to share their knowledge and are successful, I can't recall working on my art and ever wishing I was doing anything else.John Geiser

  I am the artist M.Traum and I paint Seascapes, Landscapes and create drawings using various media. Watercolor/ Gouache paintings with big surf and big sky's are my main focus. Drawings of trees, mountains and desert, seascapes too, in this category I prefer ink. I also will work with any media available, in order to satisfy the constant urge to create art.99% of my art is depicting my impression of the Ocean, Sky and the Great Outdoors. They have a common theme. The earth as it was before civilization began to create waste and carelessly discard it.Life (except trees) are excluded, as well as anything man made.It is my way of active conservation, with the Ocean , Sky and Land in it's pristine condition. I believe that people viewing it will be reminded of the difference of the way it was and can be, devoid of garbage and blight.John Geiser
