As the Program Director for the developing PA program, oversee all aspects of program development, including curriculum design, faculty recruitment, and accreditation compliance. Lead strategic planning and ensure high-quality educational outcomes, while managing student recruitment, admissions, and program evaluation. Responsible for the fiscal management of the program, including budgeting and resource allocation, as well as operational oversight to ensure program efficiency and compliance with institutional and accreditation standards. Foster partnerships with clinical sites and guide faculty development.

Faculty Rank: Associate Professor. As Director of Clinical Education at the developing South College PA Program in Orlando, FL, I play a pivotal role in establishing the program. I design and evaluate clinical education programs to meet accreditation standards, while securing high-quality clinical rotation opportunities through strategic partnerships. I supervise and mentor clinical faculty, develop tools for student placement and scheduling, and integrate clinical training with didactic education. I lead continuous improvement initiatives, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and represent the program at professional organizations and conferences.

Faculty Rank: Associate Professor. Responsibilities included developing and implementing strategic plans to address accreditation requirements, collaborating with faculty and staff to enhance curriculum and clinical training standards, and ensuring compliance with accrediting body guidelines. Conducted comprehensive program assessments, prepared detailed reports, and facilitated communication between the program, institutional officials, and accreditation officials. Advised institutional executives on PA accreditation requirements, as well as anticipatory guidance for current and forthcoming accreditation actions, including submission of major accreditation reports and site visit coordination. Responsible for all aspects of program operations, and well as department Chair responsibilities. Served on institutional committees in an ex officio capacity.

Faculty Rank: Associate Professor. As the Director of Clinical Education and principal faculty member for the Physician Assistant program at the Orlando campus, I regularly updated program and institutional leadership on significant developments. I developed, implemented, and evaluated clinical education programs and curricula to meet accreditation standards and industry best practices. By establishing and maintaining partnerships with clinical sites and preceptors, I secured diverse and high-quality clinical rotation opportunities for students. I supervised and mentored clinical faculty, coordinated student placements and schedules, and integrated clinical training with didactic education for a seamless learning experience. Returned to this practice upon moving back to Florida (see 2010-2013 below). Served as advanced practice provider (APP) team lead for the practice location. In collaboration with team leads from other locations, coordinated APP coverage at all locations where care was provided. Practice adult cardiology in collaboration with Physicians as part of a patient-centered team, formally trained to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services, including but not limited to electrocardiography, echocardiography, and stress testing. Performed history and physical examinations, prescribed medications, adjust treatment plans, and treated patients of acuity levels ranging from outpatient to ICU status.

Board member with full voting privileges and fiduciary responsibilities, ensuring the organization’s financial health and integrity. Oversight of financial management, participation in budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Collaborated with fellow board members and the Executive Director to develop strategic plans, set organizational goals, and monitor progress. Founding principal faculty member with successful Accreditation Provisional status.Clinical Assistant Professor Responsibilities: Assist with Inter-Professional Education (IPE) and Collaboration with Physical Therapy, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Athletic Training, and School of Pharmacy programs. Responsible for teaching 20-24 semester hours per academic year.Data Assessment Coordinator Responsibilities: Responsible for all data collection and analysis for the PA program, assurance of accreditation compliance, assistance with feasibility study and accreditation reports, and curriculum mapping, development, and course sequencing. Clinical Coordinator Responsibilities: Assisted with clinical site recruitment, development, and retention; assist with contract execution; and preceptor and clinical site database management.

Provide surgical first assisting in a multi-specialty setting (General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery) at various hospitals and outpatient surgical centers In the greater Orange County, CA region.

Treat pediatric and adult patients at a variety of acuity levels, take medical histories, examining and treating patients, and making diagnoses. Record progress notes, instruct and counsel patients, and order or carry out therapy. Ordering and interpreting X-ray and lab tests, suturing, wound closure, incision and drainage, performing school and work physicals.

Working at Banner Boswell Medical Center Emergency Department, treating patients of all ages and at a variety of acuity levels ranging from non-urgent to emergent. Performed physical exams, took patient histories, prescribed medications, consulted specialists where appropriate, performed I&D procedures, nasal packing, and suturing. Also worked on a 24-hour observation unit with responsibilities including admitting and discharging patients, taking medical histories, examining and treating patients, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, consulting specialists as needed, and making diagnoses. Record progress notes, instruct and counsel patients, and order or carry out therapy.

Practice adult cardiology in collaboration with Physicians as part of a patient-centered team, formally trained to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services, including but not limited to electrocardiography, echocardiography, and stress testing. Assisted the PT and OT with patient care, maintained equipment, and worked in the inpatient rehab gym.

Monitored heart rhythms for up to 35 patients at a time, kept detailed logs of rhythm changes, notified the nursing staff of changes, and helped train new Monitor Techs.

Routinely surpassed department sales goals in a store that had previously been unable to meet them. Responsibilities included scheduling, training, and mentoring staff, managing inventory, and ensuring product displays were attractive and well-stocked. Responsibilities included managing daily workflow, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer issues, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
