Working to remotely support customers and field engineers in the repair and maintenance of a variety of laboratory equipment, including LC, GC, FT-IR, and UV-Vis detectors. Supporting both Agilent and third party vendor's equipment, with a focus on chromatographic products. Work focussed upon asking the correct questions to get a broad picture of any issues, and then working down to troubleshoot the nuance of a problem. Following this, advice would be offered to resolve the issue remotely, and if this were not possible then parts and field engineer time would be booked in order to provide a comprehensive resolution for customers.

Maintenance, servicing and calibration of HPLC and GC systems from a range of manufacturers. Working with a variety of clients from different industries to provide fast, professional servicing.

Mostly focussing on Raw Materials at a busy healthcare and life sciences manufacturing plant in Leeds. Work involves sampling and testing raw materials to GMP/GLP following BP/EP guidelines for testing, frequently using wet chemical techniques along with FTIR, UV-Vis, HPLC and GC work. Alongside this I assist in testing of bulk and packed good, as well as packaging materials in order to ensure the site runs smoothly and quality is maintained thoughout all processes, working closely with manufacturing, packing and purchasing departments on site. Further to this, I have assisted in several projects within the site in the development of the businesses portfolio.

Working in a busy secondary school as a science technician meant thorough knowledge of both COSHH and CLEAPSS systems to ensure work was undertaken safely at all times. As a technician for 9 teachers in a busy, medium sized school in Leeds, I prepared various reagents and dilutions to ensure risks of injury were minimized, along with being in charge of the department's risk assessment paperwork.

Worked as a bartender during my third year and into fourth year of university at a city centre real ale pub. Became a keyholder, and was later made a shift supervisor after approximately three months. Ensured stock levels were always correct, and maintained both cask and keg cellars, handled customer complaints, shift arrangements between staff, and ensured both staff and venue were presentable at all times.
