I joined Aqua Products as part of the newly formed executive leadership team shortly after the company was acquired by Barcelona-based Fluidra.I spent several months doing intensive market research and brand exploration with retailers, distributors, consumers and engineers. The outcome of this work was a new branding/identity strategy (“Keepers of Pure”) and clear product positioning (“Fewer Chemicals and a Healthier Clean.”) The new science/fact-based product positioning differentiated the clear advantages and benefits of Aquabot robotic pool cleaners' more powerful pumps and finer filtration. With this renewed clarity and focus I collaborated closely with engineering and our industrial design team to refine our brand identity and develop our five-year product roadmap.In conjunction with this effort I planned the development and launch of seven new products. I also addressed significant sales channel conflict and pricing violations by completely re-writing and enforcing the company’s Authorized Dealer/Distributor Policies as well as fortifying product warranties. I organized and led the company’s first ever major launch event to our key sales partners unveiling our new branding, positioning, products and completely revamped integrated marketing plan receiving accolades and generating renewed enthusiasm for selling our products.
