With over 35 years of global supply chain experience and 10+ years management science research, I am currently the Founder/Managing Principal of a Los Angeles-based niche advisory and research firm Shantalla Insight Partners LLC. Further to this, I hold an adjunct role as a Professor of Practice at McGill Centre for the Convergence of Health and Economics, where I focus on large-scale project design for cross-disciplinary initiatives in the digital transformation of food ecosystems and food convergence innovation (FCI). I also co-chair the McGill Convergent Innovation Webinar Series and serve on the boards of the Canadian Institute of Food Science and Technology (CIFST), their Scientific Advisory Panel for food fraud and supply chain and also as a scientific advisory board member for the joint EU, Swiss and UK Gov funded food transparency initiative, EU Titan.As a recognised authority and adviser in applying technology, industry standards, policy, and analytical science to enhance supply chain integrity, transparency, trust, and safety across various sectors, I regularly form and lead a network of strategists, technologists, researchers, and scientists who provide research and advisory services to SMEs, Fortune 1000 companies, governments, NGOs, and other organisations. I am also a frequent keynote speaker and media analyst on topics related to my expertise. My Master's degrees (MBA & MSc) are in Management Science and Business Research, and my doctoral research (ABD) is also in Management Science Research into transparency and trust in food ecosystems. My research explores opportunism in B2B ecosystems through the theoretical lenses of Transaction Cost Economics, Principal-Agent Theory and Signaling Theory. As of August 2023, I have authored/co-authored about 40 research papers and book chapters.
