Researched the engineering of nano-sized features to support advanced feature sizes in semiconductor manufacturing, with a specific focus on integrating copper into silicon-based semiconductors. Doctoral thesis was on the plating baths used in the electrochemical deposition of copper. Received US Patent #6,309,969.

Rejoined Exploratory Process Development Team to continue research project from previous summer.

As a member of the Exploratory Process Development Team, designed and validated a model of additive behavior in copper plating baths.
