John D. Hadden is an experienced trial and appellate litigator practicing in the areas of trucking litigation, products liability, premises liability, and other catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases. He is author of Green's Georgia Law of Evidence and co-author (with Kenneth L. Shigley) of Georgia Law of Torts - Trial Preparation and Practice, both published by Thomson Reuters Westlaw. He is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education seminars and is a contributor to state and national legal publications.John has appeared, as both lead and amicus counsel, in numerous cases before the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and trial courts throughout Georgia. He is a graduate of Emory University, where he was a double major in history and environmental studies, and the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was a member of the Georgia Law Review and a participant in the prosecutorial clinic. John's litigation experience spans hundreds of cases and includes representation of individuals, businesses, and insurers, as both plaintiffs and defendants, in state and federal courts in matters involving corporate disputes, catastrophic personal injuries and wrongful death, insurance disputes, and asbestos litigation.John is president of the Atlanta Trial Lawyers Association, Atlanta regional vice president of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, a member of the board of the Atlanta Bar Association Litigation Section, past chairman of the Litigation Committee of the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division, and a member of the Board of Governors for the New Lawyers Division of the American Association for Justice. He also serves as chairman of the board of directors for the Georgia Network to End Sexual Assault (GNESA).
