I bring 25 years of experience, leading and transforming supply chain operations in the fast-moving consumer goods sector. I have strong mastery of global operations gained through diverse assignments in Europe, Asia and North America as well as deep end-to-end mastery spanning roles in manufacturing, distribution, planning and supply network design.I am proud that every operation I have led has become measurably safer, with higher quality and greater predictability. This is the foundation upon which I have been able to deliver breakthroughs in service, cost and cash, using a proven, standard operational excellence playbook.I am at my most inspired and effective, when working in an environment of strong ethical values, where striving for the ‘harder right’ is rewarded and recognized over the easier wrong. Closely tied to this, I strongly believe in the power of engaging and enabling people to give their best in a spirit of ‘want to’ versus ‘have to’. Some of the greatest achievements (and fun) in my career have been when leading large corporate change initiatives with the active participation of 1000’s of true volunteers who were able to make unique contributions way beyond previous expectations.I have learned the hard way, through successes and mistakes, the importance of bringing strategic focus to an organization, starting with a deep understanding of emerging business needs, analysis of losses/performance gaps, benchmarking and creation of the future-state vision. Over time, I have refined and perfected the toolkit leading to simpler, clearer and more effective choices. It always starts with ’why?’My end-to-end supply chain experience, coupled with mastery of integrated business planning, has been a keen enabler to being effective as a manufacturing leader. I have been able to more strongly connect manufacturing strategy to the business need and improve synchronization with other supply chain disciplines. I continue to go back to manufacturing because of the challenge of leading large, diverse groups of people. the still untapped potential of Industry 4.0 and the passion I have for Lean/Six Sigma methodology.
