Promoted to take overall control of business unit with added responsibilities including forecasting, stock control, sales order administration across the UK and Belgium.During a 1 month secondment to Navman’s Sydney office helped the team achieve in excess of AUD$300,000 savings by changing outlook on local servicing, warehouse and stock management.I manage the daily forecasting and sales order process which results in 95% of orders being fulfilled within 24 hours. In 2009 we took over from Taiwan the handling of all countries including the transition of Poland, Romania and others into our account base.Reduced local stock holding by 71% within a year to maximise cash flow, increased stock turn with no loss in resulting business.

A period of dramatic change that required many new processes and staff changes.Worked with IT to rollout of new sales order system so that we are integrated with worldwide system used by our new owner (Oracle replacing Syteline). Our newly appointed warehousing partner based in Germany had to be managed through this process and we got approval to implement new import methodology which resulted in annual savings of $2 million.

In charge of the import and export of all goods from New Zealand into Europe.Working with customers and sales teams using a local warehousing system based out of Heathrow. As market pricing dropped and margins became tighter we had to find new ways to improve supply chain. This was at time when Brunswick USA owned us and were preparing to sell to Mitac. Worked alongside the General Manger for 3PL visits across Europe over 6 month period to identify the best partner. Further 6 months spent on integrating the Oracle to SAP systems andrefining process flows.

Pricing Manager with Computer 2000 (UK business within Tech Data) which employed 600+ staff in UK and generated $30 billion revenues world wide.Responsible for pricing strategy, reporting, and monitoring of customer pricing throughout the 100+ suppliers and 5,000+ dealers. Reported to the Commercial Director with a team of 2 reporting to me.

Taken on to look after Psion handhelds including the industrial product after my success at managing the product and manufacturer relationship in my previous company.Managed the franchise to record levels of sales along with increased margins in GBP and % terms.Expanded the franchises under my remit to include Palm Computers, Creative Labs, Logitech and Visioneer. In the later stages Navman was added. Wrote the report that formed the basis of Tech-Data's entry into the Mobile marketplace.

Looked after all aspects of purchasing within GroupDistribution business with retail shops that carried consumer electronics product including Amstrad PC's, Philips Monitors, Psion handhelds, Aztec Sound cards, IBM Voicetype, leisure software and accessories. We went through rapid expansion buying the ESCOM stores and adding House of Fraser franchises. This was the early days of mobile phones which were added in our top 5 stores.
