Current∙ With businesses, I focus on those that are purpose-driven and/or have a legacy-minded seller. I advise CEOs and their leadership teams on strategies to build capacity in preparation for growth and ownership transitions. Representative clients include Silvertech, Lehnen Industrial Services, and NREUV, a BIPOC-led real estate developer developing a growth plan to create more affordable homeownership in their neighborhood. ∙ With nonprofits, I focus on CDFIs/CDCs and other entrepreneurial nonprofits that want to be both community-driven and market-driven in how they close racial and income wealth gaps in their communities. They often offer asset-building programs like affordable homeownership, employee ownership and/or invest in the most promising businesses in their community who can provide better quality jobs. Representative clients include: Capital Impact Partners, Entrepreneur Fund, Founders First Capital Partners, Housing Development Fund, National Community Stabilization Trust, Mill Cities Community Investments and ROC USA. . With Funders, I offer a practitioner's mindset/experience and become a thought partner for their field-building strategies and desires to have greater mission impact. I work with Invest Detroit to develop an ecosystem where established businesses can access integrated capital to support their growth and succession plans.∙ As a volunteer, I serve on Tufts University Advisory Board for UEP's Impact Investing Certificate Program.
