About John Hancock

42 years experience in the wine industry, commencing with 1st harvest in the Barossa Valley in 1972.Worked as a winemaker in Australia until 1979 when I went to work in NZ as winemaker for the fledgling Delegat's Wines for 4 years. Then helped establish and made wine at Morton Estate for 14 years, leaving to become founder, shareholder and winemaker for Trinity Hill. Warren Gibson gradually took over the role of chief winemaker and I became more involved with establishing new markets, promoting and supporting sales of the brand. Left Trinity Hill December 2017 for new venture "Hancock & Son"
