• Upgraded HMI for the new Series V Static Var Compensator (SVC). SVC maintains flux in power demands in power substation by controlling capacitive and inductive slopes.
• Developed HMI, consisting of 10 major functions including commanding of switchgear (circuit breakers, disconnects and earth ground switches, monitoring numerous analog values and alerting the operator when potential.
• HMI Application for SCADA SVC system developed using Codra’s Panorama E2 (Enterprise Edition). Database used was Microsoft SQL Server (2008).
• Installed all HMI cabinet hardware assets, including HMI client and redundant server computers and BIOS settings for continuous 24/7 operations, archive (database) server, Ethernet switches and power supplies.
• Created Mimic Specifications and Operator & Maintenance Manuals.
