Within the Chubb Group Germany, I was a MT member with the responsibility for the full IT department. The Chubb Group consists of three main companies: Chubb, Gloria and Kidde. All three companies had their independent IT Manager without major cross benefits. My first successful assignment was to create a team across the different companies by implementing Agile processes for support for inhouse build Applications.Next to the local IT Infrastructure responsibility, I was setting up a roadmap for the comings years to implement JD Edwards as a central ERP system via a global template. The current ERP environment is more than 25 years old and was not updated for several years. An external partner does development of the Global template: Lars & Toubro Limited. Go-live is currently going on and planned to finish the Hypercare around June 2020. Project focus is the following full processes: R2R, O2C and P2P. Time registration and holiday leave is implemented with HansaLog for all Employees. Training was done by a local German speaking Oracle Partner. Parallel I started the development/planning of projects towards Field Mobility, CRM and Workday. Chubb Deutschland GmbH is part of UTC worldwide. UTC has decided that Carrier/Chubb, OTIS and the aerospace division has separated in January 2020. Expectation is that the current IT departments from Carrier and Chubb will be merged for cost savings. Within the Kuoni Group I was responsible for running, improving and supporting all finance, customer and vendor management applications. This included the roll out of Microsoft Dynamics AX and Hyperion towards different countries and divisions. When starting at Kuoni, business application support and new development for the finance applications running on AX was not set up and developers were accessing the productive environment directly. I took over the full project, changed staff members, introduced change- and development processes and introduced segregation of duties within the team. After stabilizing AX in the countries that were live and completing the stalled implementation for Switzerland, I convinced the executive board to roll out AX to all divisions. This started at the beginning of 2013 with the last division planned to migrate in January 2016. I negotiated Service Level Agreements with the different divisions for support and further improvements of functionality. Parallel to the support of AX, I took over the management over several in-house built MS Access applications, interfaces (Web-Services / BizTalk) and Hyperion. Furthermore, my responsibility included working with external auditors and resolving the audit findings within Kuoni’s Corporate IT processes. In May 2016, the decision was made by the new management to outsource all IT support to HPE in India. The support teams were based in London and Zürich. All internal Kuoni staff was replaced by HPE. Currently I am the responsible service contract manager.Number of end-users: 650 – 12,000; effort: full-time, Project/Support budget range: € 2,5 /m per year, Project/Support team: one project lead architect, four support consultants, eight functional consultants, six developers and 480 Key users / Champions.
