Perform governmental and not-for-profit audits, including several municipalities, a county, school districts, community colleges, prosecutor law enforcement trust, and sanitary landfill escrow closure. Plan and complete audit engagements from start to finish with minimal supervision from manager and partner. Prepare audited financial statements, including footnotes in prescribed form. Develop or maintain efficient analysis of various audit areas, fund accounting and cash accounts. Identify and assess significant risks and internal controls. Assist in preparation of governmental budgets for municipalities and a county. Prepare agreed-upon procedures and complete necessary tasks and analysis as needed by the clients. Train, mentor and supervise two staff accountants on the team. At least 40 hours annually in continuing professional education in accounting, auditing, business and ethics.
